Pirate Parties International Mentors Program

Application form for Trainees and Mentors

Ahoy Pirates!

Please fill out the following form if you are interested in participating. The program is intended for students and those who are engaged in non-profit activities for a cause associated with the ideals of the Pirate movement. The goal is to create entrepreneurial innovations, fostered by the motivations of new generations and experiences of our leaders.

There will be no charges for those who are accepted into the program. Enrollment is rolling throughout the year. The program should be completed within one year, concluding with a presentation report that is delivered at one of the Pirate conferences (Think Twice, Security Conference, General Assembly, etc.).

Eligible trainees and leaders will be decided by the board of PPI according to its rules of voting. We will issue a digital certificate to those whose projects are deemed worthy by the board.

All trainees should have a project in mind that they would like to achieve with guidance from the Pirate mentor. Some examples of topics for projects include the following: editing an online news website such as the Pirate Times, creating digital infographics for social media, developing a mobile application, setting up a new non-profit organization, coordinating volunteer work for an at-risk community, and serving as a representative for UN activities such as at ECOSOC.

Pirate mentor applicants should currently serve as a representative of a PPI member or observer party and can commit to meet online with the trainee for at least 30 minutes once a month. Other qualifications or arrangements (such as having single visits with multiple mentors) will be considered by the board. Pirate trainees should agree in principle to serve as mentors upon completing their project.

Please share this form with those who might wish to participate.

Pirate Parties International is an organization dedicated to assisting the Pirate movement`s individual countries, to work on the global political stage, as well as creating a common stage for learning, mutual support and collaboration.

Thank you in advance for your interest in participating,
